2025 Sea Scouts on the USCG Barque Eagle

After doing yeoman’s work parsing and weighing the 22 applications received this year for the Barque Eagle tour, we are proud to announce the four primary and two alternates have been selected for the 2025 Cruise in Southern California!

The primary selectees are:

  • Grayson A – Alamo Area Council – Sea Scout Ship #830 (Six Guns) – Quartermaster
  • Magnus G – Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council – Sea Scout Ship #669 (Pearls) – Quartermaster
  • William K – Colonial Virginia Council – Sea Scout Ship #1610 (Seaward Bound) – Quartermaster
  • Lauren S – Long Beach Area Council – Sea Scout Ship #550 (Malolo) – Able

The two alternates are:

  • Eva B – Golden Gate Area Council – Sea Scout Ship #100 (Viking) – Ordinary
  • Ava S – Old North State Council – Sea Scout Ship #3 (Maxatollah) – Ordinary (sponsored by Flotilla 054-26-07)

The adult advisor will be Auxiliarist Monique Wong, who is the Council Commodore for the Far East Council.

Our thanks to the selection committee and their chairperson, Bill Johnson, CDR (Ret), US Coast Guard, for all their hard work and careful deliberations. Not easy when you receive 22 applications from which to choose. (A record number of applicants!)
